Ideas required: A Communist Europe

Might work ... but would require Stalin to be a touch more sane.
Well, there are two things actually needed:
1. A better outcome for the Winter War/no Winter War at all - thus, Stalin more confident in the Red Army.
2. Somehow knowing beforehand that France is doomed to be defeated that quickly. There actually was a Soviet speculative fiction book "First Strike" with a similar plot.

Enjoy.

Wyragen, there's a part that confuses me most:
Summer 1941, recalling forces from the soviet-union, Hitler quickly strikes at France.
Petain calls France to end the war but some forces turns against the "treacherous" Vichy governement, in the ensuing civil war Germans intervenes and occupies the whole of France.
No matter the year, I don't think it's possible to assault France successfully and hold the Eastern Front at the same time.

No matter the year, I don't think it's possible to assault France successfully and hold the Eastern Front at the same time.

In this scenario, the Red Army got blitzpwned in spring 1940, militaro-industrial production is geared toward immediate defence, IE Tanks and Bunkers instead of transport tractors or trucks with threads.
Axis doesn´t hold the eastern front like it did IOTL, just leave enough troops for scorched Earth policies to be carried out should the red army decide to engage in a mad race westward.
Evidently, Red Army does not, not after the defeats of the previous year. Stalin prefer to use the time allowed to complete the defences, rather than have his armies launch an all-out offensive westward to face another round of Blitzkrieg. Evidently, should the French have decisively defeated the German invasion or struck first and invaded the Rhineland, he would have reconsidered that decision.
Evidently situation in Oct 43 is completely different, Soviet-Union have nearly 10 times the amount of Tanks and several times the number of motor vehicles the Germans had before IOTL Barbarossa (600 000 vs approx 2 millions). It is not as powerfull in the battlefield as the IOTL Red Army at the same time but it is facing a much less powerfull and more overconfident european axis army.

The by far most plausible option to make a Red Europe is a Communist revolution in Germany in 1919, the conseguent stillbirth of encircled Poland and success of Communist revolution in Hungary and Austria. The Russo-German Comintern builds up its industry and military during the 1920s and 1930s, then blitzkriegs France and Italy in *WWII, then fights the Anglo powers to a stalemate. Even an Unmentionable Mammal isn't out of the question, if America is slow to come to the rescue.

Plausible, still I think Germany and the USSR would end up equal partners in such an alliance, i.e. not Soviet dominated.

If anything I would think the Germans would end up more influential, Marx and Engels were Germans after all, and the German economy was significantly more industrialized than the Russian economy in the years following WWI. Also at this time Communist thought was still very internationalist, so there would probably be a large mult-national union not nearly as dominated by one ethnicity as the USSR was, but with German as the lingua franca. It would be interesting to see how the internal politics of the revolution develop in such a situation, and they would obviously be influenced by outside factors as well. I doubt the French and Polish would sit back and do nothing as Central Europe starts falling to an internationalist communist revolution.
