Ideas for a united Latin Africa

Does anyone have any good ideas for creating the United States of Latin Africa, I have my own but like I said are there any good ideas?

By "Latin" do you mean "independent countries that were once colonies or dependencies of Spain or Portugal?" or "the areas of North Africa in late Antiquity that spoke dialects of the Latin language?"

I can't help in the first case. But it is true that for many centuries many communities in North Africa spoke some dialect of Latin. Tertullian and Augustine were both African. This culture was swept away by the Muslim Conquest, though the writings are still with us. Are you interested in a modern-day resurrection of these Roman North African states?

A union of the former Portuguese colonies might be possible, but that's all I see. If you're going to unite all the currently or formerly Romance-speaking countries in Africa, then you might as well go whole hog and unite the whole continent. E.g. it would be weird for Senegal to be in a federation that included Cameroon and Mozambique but not Gambia.

By "Latin" I mean the United States of Latin Africa a proposed nation made from several former European colonies, just google it.

Is the term "Latin Africa" still in use in French or Portuguese discourse? I follow Africa fairly closely, and this is the first time I've ever heard the term.

Boganda's proposal is an interesting idea, though I think it would probably only include its Francophone elements: Angola would have little reason for joining.
