I want to write a Nubian TL.

I recently found out about the 25th Dynasty of Egypt, the time in which it was ruled by Nubian kings who were, eventually, chased out by either the Hittites or the Persians, I forget which. How can I make the Nubians hold onto Egypt and possibly conquer some of East Africa, then last until at least the fall of Western Rome, all as a single state, without going into ASB? Your thoughts. I'll read this tomorrow, as I have to go to bed soon.

You have to get rid of Alexander.

Not necessarily. Alexander only invaded Egypt because it was Persian and because it was suitably prestigious a place to conquer.

Of course, this presupposes that there even will be an Alexander or indeed even a Persia. If we presume that this longer 25th Dynasty is more outgoing and martial than the homegrown Egyptian Dynasties, then it would probably be a significant player in Canaan and the Middle East, enough to counter-balance Assyria or Persia.

Only problem is that the Nubians were quite culturally similar to Egypt, if not culturally in awe of them. It's quite possible that they'd conquer Egypt and then become just as xenophobic and cloistered as the other dynasties, much like what happened to the Qing in China.

So it all depends on how culturally different the Nubians are from the Egyptians. I don't really know but I'm sure someone can help you out.

Nubia- Egypt need to withstand both Assyria and Persia. OTL Assyria could move in due to discontent in the Egyptian aristocracy (they did set up a puppet dynasty in the 26th). Assyria might not want to risk attacking if they don't have Egyptian allies. Persia is harder though. The riches of Egypt would be very much a lure for the expanding Persians. Then of course there will be butterflies and the Persians might never rise.

If the POD is that the Nubians repel Assyrian invasions, you can bet that they will push forward into the Levant as soon as Assyria collapses, something that a defeat in Egypt is not going to stop happening (even if it will affect the way it develops).
Expansionism in the Levant might actually be the best way for the Nubian dynasty to secure control of Egypt proper.
This causes a whole damn lot of butterflies about the Jews. A stronger Egypt might well affect the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem and the ensuing captivity, which in turn means that Judaism would be a different religion from what we know. Babylonians might oust the Nubians fron the Levant in the end like OTL, and Persians might never manage to conquer Egypt. Or, if they do, Nubia would still be there to wage the Reconquista war as soon as possible, cementing its tie with Egypt as the defender of Egyptian civilization against all those fearsome Asians barbarian invaders .
