Julius Henry Marx
President of the United States 1941-1953
1890-1977

It will be, but it defintely takes place after Duck Soup....I love that movie too much.

Also, I was thinking of former President Marx meeting the UK's newest and youngest PM before his death..care to take any guesses?:)

Thank you for the compliments!

Compare him to Britain's first Jewish Prime Minister.

Benjamin Disraeli.

White Nationalist and Ardent Imperialist.

Relationship with the UK will go down out of sheer jealousy

I sure want to see the presidential debate

Thought wouldn't the fact he's the son of a first generation immigrant would hurt his chance

"Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others."

1) please tell me a TL is forthcoming.

2) please be sure to include the debates! "I thought my razor was dull, until I heard my opponent's speech!"

This sounds like a cool TL. (Despite being a Marx Brothers fan, I'm not sure as to any of their political tendencies, though I do know Harpo helped sponsor a dinner in honor of African-American soldier and Spanish Civil War veteran Edward A. Carter, Jr..)
The only downside is that you'll likely butterfly away one of the coolest stamps ever!

There will defintely will be a timeline forthcoming, and how could I resist not using classic lines..."Remember you're fighing for France's honor, which is probably more than they ever did!"

I've got some others stories ricocheting in my head, but this one will be the funnest.

I'll get on it this weekend, have to work through some problems first; unemployment, health, women.

BTW, what about the Secretary of War? In that era, they probably would get rid of the chairs : )

Wasn't really a Jew.

He certainly was a Jew, though he may not have been Jewish, depending on your definition. Disraeli was baptised Anglican of course, but was notoriously squirrelly when asked about his religious beliefs, even giving a BS answer to Queen Victoria herself! I don't remember precisely, but it was something along the lines of "I am the page between the Old Testament and the New."
