Hypothetic epic-length timelines?

(I'm not sure to put this in Help, but since pre-1900 is where most of the ideas are in, I'll put it here for now.)

What are some scenarios or POD's, that if someone wrote a timeline about, would be truly massive, like epic-length or comparable to The Hobbit or even greater?

Thoughts?

There's already some timelines that are longer than that. Decades of Darkness is longer than the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings put together, and I'm fairly sure it's not the longest timeline out there.

Not pre-1900, but rast's A Shift In Priorities was so long that the thread was closed. There is a continuation in another thread. The original was almost 700 forum pages.

My actual page count says 1,754 pages in MS Word Times New Roman Size 10.

I can't think of any timeline that couldn't be drawn out into epic length, even if you had to continue it into future history. The question would be whether it was worth it; writing is harder than it looks.

Just about any POD involving the mongols.

Like Max's Chaos TL?

That was big.

I've also heard about The Whale Has Wings and Decades of Darkness, and read most of Look to the West. Anything else to note? I've finished The Revival of Rhomaion, A Shift in Priorities, and others whose names I forgot.

Is there any other notable TLs or projects to note that are in expansive detail on-site?

There would be if every specialist writer weren't so stuck with immediate writers blocks all the time!

That is pretty long, but the Microsoft Word page count isn't always a great measure. For instance my Imperious Chairman timeline isn't that long (yet) but it takes up 42 pages on Word.

And is Decades of Darkness really longed than The Hobbit and LOTR combined? That just blows my mind.
