husbands for the dauhters of Emperor Leopold

So, I was wondering if I could get some help from you fine people. I’m currently looking for husbands for the daughters of leopold I, Holt roman emperor and his third wife eleanora for my timeline a Britain of panthers and lions.

Maria Anna’s otl husband John V is off the market due to being engaged to Anne is daughter.

One possible candidate is the son of the margrave of Baden, another is perhaps the Neuburg king of Poland’s son.

Any other suggestions?

Archduchess Maria Elisabeth (1680–1741) Governor of the Austrian Netherlands could marry:
- Louis, Duke of Burgundy (son of Le Grand Dauphin, grandson of Louis XIV of France)
- James Louis Sobieski (son of John III of Poland and IOTL Austria supported his candidacy for the throne)
- Philippe II, Duke of Orléans
- Leopold, Duke of Lorraine (see what I did there)
- Antonio Farnese, Duke of Parma
- Augustus II, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony
- Either Ferdinando, Grand Prince of Tuscany or Gian Gastone, Grand Duke of Tuscany, in hopes of a son so she can reign as regent or a daughter, who can marry the throne of Tuscany into Hapsburg hands rather than the House of Lorraine
(as well as any rejects from below lists)

Archduchess Maria Anna (1683–1754) married John V of Portugal in OTL or if you want to change, pick any rejects from above or below lists

Archduchess Maria Theresa (1684–1696) If she lives past 12?
- Philip V of Spain as a way to treaty the Spanish Succession?
- Ludwig Andreas von Khevenhüller, Austrian field marshal
- Charles, Duke of Berry
- Louis Armand II, Prince of Conti
(as well as any rejects from above or below lists)

Archduchess Maria Josepha (1687–1703) if she lives past 16 and Archduchess Maria Magdalena (1689–1743)
- Alexei Petrovich, Tsarevich of Russia
- James Francis Edward, Prince of Wales
- Frederick William I of Prussia
- Infante Francisco, Duke of Beja (brother of John V of Portugal)
- Joseph Ferdinand (if he out lives childhood too)

Maria Elisabeth and Maria Magdalene were both suggested for duchesse de Bourgogne and queen of Spain (Karl VI would've married OTL duchesse de Bourgogne, Adélaïde de Savoie in said scenario). Louis XIV turned Elisabeth down, and the king of Spain married Isabel Farnese instead.

Duke Léopold of Lorraine is an option (if he hasn't married his OTL wife). As to the margrave of Baden, do you mean Ludwig Wilhelm (Turkenlouis) of Baden-Baden or Karl III of Durlach. The former is Catholic, but Leopold arranged his OTL wedding to Sibylle of Saxe-Lauenburg after Prince Eugen of Savoy turned her down (not having dangly bits between her legs was Eugen's reason). Can't see him disrupting that match. The latter is a Protestant, and I'm not sure that Leo will go for such a marriage.

The elector of Bavaria might try for a Habsburg second wife (if his OTL 2e wife is unavailable. Liselotte thought that a match to a Sobieska princess was beneath him, and mentioned that she'd heard rumors that they were not the children of Jan Sobieski but of his wife's physician). Giovan' Gastone might opt for a Habsburg girl (and Leo might be desperate enough for suitors that GG gets one) if his Saxe-Lauenburg wife isn't a widow. Likewise, the emperor could try and swing that Francesco or Antonio of Parma marry one of the girls instead of their OTL sister-in-law or a Modenese princess.

Maria Elisabeth to Augustus ii sounds good to me!

Maria Anna to Gian Gastone sounds good also

Mara Josepha to Frederick William I

Hmm interesting, with my plans for Philip him marrying a Habsburg could be very interesting. And Karl marrying Adelaide would’ve Ben interesting.

And yeah meant Ludwig Wilhelm.

Leopold also interesting

With regards to Maria Josepha, will her father let her marry a Protestant? While I could understand the King of Prussia not marrying Sophia Dorothea given her brother not being heir to the UK, I'm not sure he'd swing all the way to a Habsburg Archduchess.

He married Sophie Dorothea because his mother had wanted it (it was something akin to her dying request, and her husband, in love with her, had made sure it happened). So I don't think Leo's gonna have an in there. Maybe marrying her to Friedrich I instead of the Mecklenburg Venus is more likely. Especially if she comes with some of the land the Hohenzollern claim in Bohemia as a dowry.

Hmm this is true, might need to rethink the marriage to Augustus ii also. Perhaps one sister to Lorraine, the other to a Wittelsbach nephew?
