In 1944, Hungary attempted to defect to the allies but the Germans found out and occupied the country before this could happen.
What if Hungary had defected successfully and the Germans did not find out until it was too late?
I'm thinking Hungary would be able to keep Northern Transylvania, Romania also having been an Axis member, but the Czechoslovak lands could be a different matter.
Without the German occupation, there would not be a Holocaust in Hungary, Subcarpathia, and Northern Transylvania.
