No. Its the other way round: Germans are just one Germanic nation. As are the English, the Danes, etc, which are just as Germanic.NO because that also means ANY groups decendend from Germans. All areas where germans are will be indenpendent.
As said, Germanic has a wider meaning, though. No other Germanic nation besides Germans were ever present as population in Austrian/Habsburg lands, as far as I knowWell since I used the term "Germanic" I guess I'll explain what I meant. I used Germanic to denote German speaking areas of the Austrian empire from non-German areas such as Croatia or Galicia. I also didn't want to confuse German speaking areas of Austria with the German states that
unified to become the German Empire under the Hohenzolleren kings. Sorry for the confusion or imprecise terminology.
