Caesars Palace, Paradise, Nevada

As the WWF Champion puts the 641 pound challenger in his signature move, the sharpshooter, Yokozuna's manager Mr. Fuji reaches into his bag and throws salt into Bret Hart's eyes!

The champion lets go of the submission hold as he reels in pain from the salt in his eyes and is pinned by the challenger to lose his beloved WWF Championship.

Winner and New WWF Champion: Yokozuna

Yokozuna celebrates his tainted victory with his manger until he sees Hulk Hogan trying to alert the ref about Fuji's trick. "Hogan! My Yokozuna challenges you for his WWF Championship!" roars out Fuji, noticing Hogan as well. Hogan doesn't know what to do until Bret tells him to accept, and he does and quickly defeats Yokozuna to become the new WWF Champion.

-Don Muraco the new ECW Champion!
-Hulk Hogan the new WWF Champion!
-Hogan and Bret to face off for WWF Title?
-Vader still WCW Champ!

Hulk is seriously going to blackball Bret behind the scenes. Maybe parlay that into a heel turn? Then the main event of WrestleMania X would be EPIC!!!

Perhaps Bret to WCW earlier. It certainly would be interesting to see where WCW goes without the Hulkster jumping ship.

Bret or Davey Boy were the frontrunners to lead the nWo but the WWF/E tied them via contract forcing them to go with Hogan. Bret leading the faction works better. Maybe even turn it against Vince. "Hogan and Vince have held me back. It's time to show what I can do."

Best guess I can make it is HBK, Hall and Nash going to WCW because if Hogan is around in WWF in 95 then Nash isn't getting the title and he was the the worst drawing champion for that period, Hogan will use that to get the belt back on him or kept on him. If all three go to WCW then they can do what Vince did with the new generation and say we have these young talented guys not being held back by the old fossils. However you can't do the NWO as known in OTL as Bischoff got the idea from New Japan and they didn't do it until early 96 you can do a version of The Kliq as a sorta NWO like group or DX but a straight invasion won't work. In the long term no Hogan in WCW means no Austin in WWF as until Hogan arrived he was being groomed for the main event through Dusty. I can see HHH maybe staying in WCW if Nash, Hall and HBK turn up but at that point I'm unsure.

Vince: Mr. Hogan, how does it feel to be WWF Champion again?
Hulk: It feels good McMahon! I’ve missed not only this belt but these Hulkamanics out here! (Points to the crowd as they cheer)
Vince: What do you think about Yokozuna’s challenge at King Of The Ring?
Hulk: That’s fair brother, but if he expects to destroy me and everything I stand for then let me tell ya something brother! (Crowd cheers) I fought the late Andre The Giant at Wrestlemania III and did the impossible, I slammed the Giant in front of 93,173 fans! (Crowd cheers for Bret) Stupid Americans, (crowd boos) you cheer for pathetic little men when you should bow to the might of my Yokozuna! Cause he’ll destroy your little pathetic Hulkamania!!!
(Crowd boos louder)
Hulk: Mr. Fuji, you think “your” Yokozuna will destroy Hulkamania? Ha! If I had a nickel for everytime I heard that I’d own the WWF!
Fuji: The only thing you will own will be your grave Hogan. My Yokozuna is the most powerful force in Wrestling today!!
Hulk: No brother, Hulkamania is the strongest force in the WWF today!! (Crowd cheers until Hogan is attacked by Yokozuna)
Savage: What a cheep shot!

Yokozuna gives Hogan a bonzai drop and even a leg drop to add further insult to injury.

An interview with the champ via WWF Magazine
516lxjWjYlL._SX378_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg
Interviewer: So how did it feel to be WWF Champion again?
Hulk: It feels great brother, I’ve missed being champion but now I’m back!
Interviewer: So for your match at King Of The Ring, what’s your game plan?
Hulk: Same as always, eat my vitamins, say my prayers, and work out.
Interviewer: What do you think about the King Of The Ring tournament? If you weren’t WWF Champion would you be on the bracket as well?
Hulk: I think it’s great. Yeah I would be in the tournament because I would want to face the WWF Champion just like all of those guys.
Interviewer: Who do you think will win the tournament?
Hulk: Well, there’s a lot of guys on there that could win the tournament however brother, I hope it’s the Hitman who does win it.
Interviewer: And why is that?
Hulk: Bret deserves it, I mean he was screwed out of the title by Fuji and Yokozuna. So why wouldn’t I hope he’d win it?
Interviewer: That’s all the time we have mr. Hogan, do you have anything else before we leave?
Hulk: Yeah, Yokozuna what you did on Monday Night RAW proved without a shadow of a doubt you are a coward! And whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you!!

Interesting timeline, should be interesting to see what WCW does without him. Bret v Hogan at Summerslam should be fun unless you do some sort of swerve. Good start, will be reading for sure.

It WOULD be interesting to see Hulk Hogan as a major player/ spokesperson for the WWF. Although I don't know if he had any interest in wildlife.

Vince: Well I'm pretty sure all these WWF fans would love to see it to! (Crowd cheers)

Yokozuna immediately swings at Bret but receives a kick in the gut as Bret DDT’s him onto the mat. Bret puts him in a headlock but is thrown back into the turnbuckles by Yokozuna, Yoko delivers a big boot to Bret’s face and makes him fall out of the ring. Bret comes back in and Yoko proceeds to stomp on him while the ref tries to get him off of Bret. Yoko throws Bret into the corner and rams into him, Bret falls down and Yoko drags him to the center of the ring and gets a two count. Yokozuna grabs Bret and irishwipes him into the ropes but both men clothesline each other and fall down.

Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) and Lex Luger
hqdefault.jpg

We come off a King Of The Ring ad to Hogan's entrance. The coward is unglued as he makes his entrance, Bret is given the same reaction. Unsurprisingly Yoko and Luger aren't given the same reaction instead are booed. Hogan and Luger start off and stare each other down.
hqdefault.jpg

Luger is the first to strike surprising Hogan. Luger and Hogan get into a lockup and Hogan is thrown down. Both Hogan, Bret, the ref, commentators, and the fans are shocked. Luger flexes his muscles before he's attacked by Hogan who scoops him up and slams him down! Hogan and Luger continue to fight until Yoko is tagged in. Yoko and Hogan face off giving the WWF audience a preview of sunday's main event, Yoko manages to knock him down and splashes onto Hogan. Only two is counted with Hogan quickly tagging Bret into the match. Bret launches into Yoko popping off the crowd.
wrestlemania-084.0.jpg

Bret is quick to start attacking Yoko's legs hoping to use the sharpshooter later in the match. Bret and Yoko trade blows until he's thrown into Yoko's corner and is doubled teamed by Luger and Yoko. After a couple of blows from one another, Luger irishwipes and powerslams Bret onto the mat. Bret kicks out at two angering Luger who picks him up and once again irishwipes him, only this time Luger clotheslines Bret.
ab52d06a825255d00ae77365fdccf87a.jpg

Bret goes down hard which receives the ref's attention. He checks on Bret but is pushed away by Luger, he covers Bret and the ref nearly counts to 3 but Bret somehow gets a arm up. The crowd roars with applause after this. Bret is launched into the corner next to Bret's, Luger climbs on top and starts punching. Bret reverses after 4 punches and pushes Luger down while collapsing down to the mat. Bret crawls to Hogan but is pulled back by The Narcissist and is put in a sleeper hold. The classic "ref raises arm and counts" cliche is used here and Bret manages to get an arm up. He makes out of the hold and trips Luger. He quickly gets to his corner and tag Hogan which gains a huge pop from the crowd. Luger decks Hogan but this seems to do no damage to the Hulkster as he points at him signaling the end of the match.
hqdefault.jpg

The three punches commence along with the big boot. But instead of delivering the boot Hogan clotheslines Yoko off the ropes and then delivers the legdrop to Luger gaining the victory.

Bret-Hart-Vs-Razor-Ramon-Royal-Rumble-1993.jpg

The Hitman enters the ring with a thunderous applaud from the crowd. Razor however isn't given the same reception, the two lock up and Bret is the first to go down with a tooth pick in his face from Ramon. Bret gets back up and once again they lock up, however the Hitman dropkicks Ramon down to the canvas and the crowd pops. Ramon tackles Bret and kicks him in the leg repeatedly until the ref pulls him off. Ramon picks Bret up and decks him square in the face and covers him for a 1 count. Ramon then throws Bret into the ropes only to get clotheslined by Hart afterwards. Bret climbs to the top rope and gives Ramon a elbow drop, Bret covers him but only gets 1. Bret picks himself and Ramon up, he then irishwipes Ramon into the corner and clotheslines him again. Ramon slides out of the ring trying to regain his breath but Hart follows him and they duel outside. Eventually Ramon gets the upper hand and slams Bret's head into the steel steps, he then throws him into the ring where he signals the end by picking Bret up and setting him up for the Razor's Edge.

Mean Gene:
Well ladies and gentlemen, as we just seen Bret Hart has advanced in The King Of The Ring tournament. Now Shawn Michaels, you're bodyguard is going up against The Undertaker. How do you feel about that?
HBK: Well Mean Gene, The Undertaker is all just smoke and mirrors. Diesel on the other hand is the real deal, he doesn't play mind games he just comes in and destroys the competition then leaves. (Smiles as Diesel who nods back.)
Mean Gene: Well, you sound sure of Diesel.
HBK: Of course I am! I wouldn't have hired him as my bodyguard if I wasn't! Now do you anymore stupid questions to ask or can we get out there and defeat The Undertaker?!
Mean Gene: (Notable peed) Alright, not only is Diesel competing tonight but so are you. My question is do you think Diesel wi-
HBK: Yes Mean Gene, he'll be able to manage me in my match tonight. (Shoves Mean Gene out of his way with Diesel following him)
Mean Gene: Ok, let's get back to the ring. (under his breath) Where that punk will get what he deserves...

King Of The Ring First Round: Diesel (w/ Shawn Michaels) vs. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer)
4774719.jpg

Diesel makes his way down to the ring first along with HBK, the crowd boos him all the way down into the ring when suddenly.. GONG! The crowd explodes as the deadman makes his way slowly into the ring alongside his manager Paul Bearer, after removing his hat, coat, and tie the deadman and Diesel come to blows. The Ref quickly rings the bell and the match is officially underway, eventually Diesel has the deadman on his knees and locks him in a head lock. However this does nothing to the deadman as he powers out of it and delivers a boot to Diesels face. Undertaker backs Diesel into the corner where Taker throws him into the opposite corner, there Taker puts a boot on Diesel's throat choking him. The ref counts as Taker nearly chokes out Diesel, Undertaker eventually lets Diesel go and big daddy cool falls face first into the canvas. Taker mimics cutting someone's throat as he picks up Diesel (by the arm) and climbs the turnbuckles and walks on the ropes before jumping off and elbowing Diesel's elbow.

The deadman covers Diesel but only gets a two count do to HBK secretly pulling Diesel's foot onto the ropes. Taker slides out of the ring and attacks Michaels, the ref starts counting while Paul Bearer tries to get the deadman back into the ring. Eventually Diesel gets to the outside and attacks Undertaker, he and HBK double team the deadman while the ref counts both men out.

Bam Bam Bigelow def. Kamla
Owen Hart def. Hacksaw Jim Duggan

King Of The Ring First Round: Lex Luger vs. Bob Backlund
hqdefault.jpg

The Narcissist makes his way down to the ring with Bobby on commentary praising him while the crowd boos, Backlund then makes his way after and is cheered, however as soon as he enters the ring he's clotheslined by Luger. The ref rings the bell and immediately Luger pins an unconscious Backlund and wins.
Winner: Lex Luger
140lzrd.jpg

Heenan: Ha! Did you idiots think Luger would have a problem with Bob Backlund? He's a dinosaur, and Luger is the meteor!
Savage: Backlund's a former WWF Champion! He can't go down like this! Somethings up Ross.
Ross: I agree with you Macho, something's not right here. No clothesline knocks out a man that early!
Heenan: Are you two suggesting Luger cheated?
Savage: Well how else would he knock out Backlund that quick?
Heenan: Cause he's old, kinda like you.
Savage: What?! What did you say Heenan!?! (Grabs his collar)
Suddenly Luger attacks Savage and the two brawl both outside and inside the ring.
hqdefault.jpg

Soon Luger has him into the corner and irishwipes him into the corner and clotheslines him (knocking him out cold). Hogan runs out and chases off Luger who mocks him as he leaves.
Ross: How despicable! How can you condone this Heenan?!
Heenan: Hey! He was attacking me! Luger was just defending me!
Ross: You're disgusting!
Camera switches to the back where HBK (without Diesel) is preparing for his match.

Shawn Michaels (c) vs. Mr. Perfect for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
0-1833776.jpg

HBK makes his way down to the ring with a chorus of boos, but the champ pays no mind and poses in the ring until Mr. Perfect (who was in the audience) jumps him and the match starts. Mr. Perfect takes it to the champ who tries his hardest to defend himself but is constantly pummeled by Perfect. With a low blow (unseen by the ref) HBK finally gains control of the match, he takes it to Perfect with atomic drops and dives from the top rope. HBK sets Perfect for an elbow drop but Perfect shakes the ropes making HBK lose his balance and hurting his family jewels. Perfect pins him but somehow HBK kicks out and Perfect goes back to work on him. Perfect has him setup for the perfectplex but HBK reverses this into a Super Kick pining him to retain the Intercontinental title.
Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Shawn Michaels

The Hitman and Bigelow go to war as both men want to advance and face Luger in the finals, Bret uses all his techniques he learned from his pop in the dungeon. Bam Bam uses his strength to kick out of Bret's pinfalls and overpowers Bret whenever he can, eventually Bam Bam has Bret down and runs to the ropes and is about to deliver a dropping headbutt to Bret when he suddenly moves.

Winner: Bret Hart

Bret celebrates while Heenan brags on commentary that Luger will defeat him and be the King Of The Ring.

Hulk Hogan (c) (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs. Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) for the WWF Championship
hqdefault.jpg

Mean Gene:
Both Bret Hart and Lex Luger will compete in the finals of the King Of The Ring tournament which will give them a shot at the WWF champion who is currently, the Immortal Hulk Hogan!
Hogan: Well Mean Gene no matter who wins the KOTR tournament, I'll defend my title and walk out champion brother!
Mean Gene: Well you still have Yokozuna to face!
Hogan: Don't worry about Yokozuna, Gene. I'll show him why I've held this title 4 times!
Mean Gene: Well before you go I want to ask you one thing, why did you run out when Luger attacked Randy Savage?
Hogan: (In a more somber tone) Even though we've had some issues in the past, I couldn't stand seeing that happen. All Macho Man did was commentate and sure, he grabbed Heenan but I'm sure everyone in this arena would've done that! It doesn't matter what happened in the past Gene, his attack was still horrendous and I hope the Macho Man can recover along side Bob Backlund.
Mean Gene: Thank you for your time, and now we go down to the ring.
Cameras cut back to the arena as Yokozuna makes his way into the ring with the crowd booing him, but the booing stops when Real American plays.
hulkkotr.jpg

Hogan makes his way out alongside his manager Jimmy Hart, the crowd explodes when they see him. Hogan makes his way down and tears his shirt and removes the title from his waist before giving it to Earl Hebner. Hebner rings the bell and Hogan and Yokozuna test their strength. The crowd and Hogan are shocked when Yoko overpowers him, they do it again and once again Hogan is the one who's on the ground. Hogan tries it again and is rammed into the corner which Yoko starts crushing Hogan while the ref tries to get Yoko off him. Yoko irishwipes him into the opposite turnbuckle and smashes Hogan who falls down to the mat. Yoko goes for the cover but Hogan kicks out at two which gives the crowd some hope for the Hulkster, he grabs hold of the ropes to pull himself up but is immediately attacked and he falls back down to the mat. Hogan slides out of the ring as Yoko and Fuji laugh, he goes to Jimmy Hart who gives him some pointers and the Hulkster regains his strength before sliding back in. Hogan starts delivering punches to Yoko which surprises him and Fuji, the immortal one runs to the ropes and clotheslines Yoko who only stumbles. Hogan does it again and the same happens, Hogan goes for it again but Yoko gives Hogan the big boot knocking him down. Yoko then delivers a leg drop to Hogan to add insult to injury, Yoko goes for the cover but Hogan kicks out which makes the crowd pop as Hogan starts to Hulk up.
wwf_kingofthering93_hoganjzuna.jpg

Yokozuna punches Hogan but the Hulkster doesn't feel it instead he points at Yoko signaling the end of the match. Hogan delivers the three punches but when he hits the big boot Yoko doesn't fall down, he runs to the ropes and delivers another big boot which does knock him down. Fuji goes for his salt but the ref warns him not to allowing Hogan to successfully legdrop Yokozuna and retain the title once the ref counts to three.
Winner and still WWF Champion: Hulk Hogan

Hogan celebrates as he successfully retained the WWF title and defended America. JR goes wild on commentary while Heenan complains about it.

King Of The Ring Finals: Bret Hart vs. Lex Luger
wwf_royalrumble_1993_hitmanpromo.jpg

Mean Gene:
Well we know who'll be the champion at Summerslam but who will be the challenger? Can it be the man next to me, Bret Hart?
Bret: Gene, I just defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and Razor Ramon to get here. If I can beat Bam Bam then Luger won't be any trouble.
Mean Gene: But Bret, this is the man who knocked out two former WWF Champions!
Bret: That's true Gene and along with you and the WWF fans, I'm disgusted with that and I'm going to avoid his clothesline and defeat him and become King Of The Ring!
We cut back to the ring where Luger has made his entrance with the crowd booing him and Heenan bragging yet again. Bret's theme plays and the crowd pops as he makes his way to the ring and he instantly decks Luger before the Narcissist can get his arm straightened to clothesline Bret.
hqdefault.jpg

The two trade blows, the hitman gets Luger on his knees and delivers an axle handle to Luger. Bret sets him up for the pile driver but can't get him up and is flipped over by Luger. Luger runs to the ropes but Bret dropkicks him stopping him from clothesling him. Bret puts him in the sharpshooter and Heenan starts to panic, Luger nearly breaks the hold but Bret holds on until Luger grabs the ropes. Bret lets go and Luger can barley stand due to the sharpshooter, Bret rolls him up and becomes the new King Of The Ring.
Winner and the 1993 King Of The Ring: Bret Hart

Bret slides out of the ring and makes his way to the King's throne where Mean Gene is and is crowned as the 1993 King Of The Ring.
Mean Gene: Ladies and Gentlemen! Your 1993 King Of The Ring, Bret "The Hitman" Hart!
Crowd pops as Bret raises his scepter and smiles
Bret: I want everyone to know one thing, I couldn't have gotten this far with out all of you! (Crowd applause his modesty)
??: There can be only one King in the WWF!
Jerry Lawler is the one who said that and he gets in Bret's face since he calls himself Jerry "The King" Lawler
8a670ef55811925221a5786eacc82e8f_crop_north.jpg

Bret: Well maybe you should've signed up for the KOTR tournament instead of whining about it!
The crowd cheers for this until Lawler hits Bret with his scepter and kicking him in the gut while he's down.
Ross (on commentary): Oh come on now! Is this how a King would act?
Heenan: Hey, Kings do what they want!
Ross: Here comes Hogan!
Hogan chases Lawler off and helps Bret up, Bret tries to go after Lawler but Hogan holds him back until WWF officials show up ending KOTR.
