Hubert Humphrey dies during the 1968 election, who runs in his place?

If Humphrey were to die between his nomination, and before the ballots are printed, who would run in his place? With two young Democrats dead, I think Johnson might be able to convince enough people to support him, especially with the front-runner dead. McCarthy wasn't too liked by party insiders, and I'm not sure about RFK. Whoever the candidate, would and could they win? With Humphrey as another dead liberal can the Democratic Party use him as a bloody shirt, or is Tricky Dick likely to win anyways?

I would say Muskie gets it, with either Mo. Sen. Stuart Symington or Mo. Gov. Warren Hearnes for geographical balance as the running mate. i think Nixon still wins by a nose. (Pun intended!)

Maybe not being as associated with the war as Humphrey could have changed the result, veryclose in otl plus the big sympathy factor./(I am assuming natural causes)

Former Govs Terry Sanford of NC or Carl Sanders of GA could also be possible VPs.
