HP WI: Dumbledore doesn't die

WARNING: HP SPOILER- HBP MOVIE

WI Dumbledore doesn't die? Since the sixth movie's out now... Though they leave out so much relationship development in most of the films. Unless you read the books, the final outcome might seem OMG.

What are you trying to put forth? The consequences on the actual books and franchise? Or the consequences in-universe? If it's the second, it should go in ASB.

Thank you for ruining the movie. I havent read the books and i intend to see it. This belonged in the books, movies etc section with a SPOILER in front of it since many people dont know this

I agree it should be moved, but where is the spoiler? I've read the books and seen the movies, and I frankly have no idea which lie or which section the post is talking about.

Actually the spoiler tag should be in the thread's title. As it is, this thread is like Homer Simpson leaving the theater and claiming he would never imagined Dart Vader was Luke's father, in front of the row of people about to see the film.

In any case, regarding the books, it's a bit of a problem as every protector, mentor, and possible mentor Harry has needs to be fully separated from Harry before the last part of the journey. And it's hard to believe in Harry not looking for Dumbledore or Dumbledore not finding Harry. It can be solved, though.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

However, in-universe, it doesn't have to be that way. We have to assume the POD is Dumbledore isn't as harsh when he recognizes the Resurrection Stone and somehow uses it without triggering its curse. There are a few issues here. First, how Dumbledore is dealing with Draco since he isn't now letting anyone kill him. Maybe he just put Draco metaphorically against the wall so the Malfoys accept the Order's protection? Dumbledore is now free to hunt the horcruxes, but he is as clueless as Harry about their locations. Plus, he still needs to turn someone into the owner of the Elder Wand (Harry? Or someone he thinks Harry can defeat later on?) and convince Harry to sincerely and ignorantly let Voldemort kill him. Or, he just disregards the horcruxes for the time being, teaches Harry to "tune" into Voldemort's mind or convince Snape to tell him where he can get him, finds Voldemort, defeat him and mutilate him or something so Voldemort remains alive but powerless. Although that's out of character and still leaves the death eaters at large.
