How would you make the Legacy of Kain Game Series better?

As it says on the tin. 1. Blood Omen. 2. Soul Reaver. 3. Soul Reaver 2. 4. Blood Omen 2. 5. Defiance.

The Biggest problems to my knowledge came from Eidos Upper Management Rushing development&pushing more funding&resources to the Tomb Raider Franchise. Soul Reaver the 1st Eidos Game was an excellent 1st dip in to the Legacy of Kain Verse but despite my love of this game it sadly was published somewhat unfinished. Players of Soul Reaver are familiar with the Cliffhanger that SR1 ended on but less well known is the plans that were in place for Turel's Fortress as an in game Level/Area.

Cool topic! I always wanted to play the games but didn't get around to it, so I don't have many specific ideas. What I've read is that the overarching plot got a little too complicated by time travel and resulting retcons, but changing one's fate is an important theme. Maybe it could have just happened one time in the series?

Though Raziel started out in an unrelated game called Shifter, I would keep him in the Legacy of Kain-verse as a good foil to Kain.
 
Well to be honest I 1st played Soul Reaver on PS1 without even hearing about the 1st game Blood Omen so Raziel's tale of Loyalty,Betrayal&rebirth was my introduction to the LoK Verse. I did later play Blood Omen which while dated now graphicly, Was still very immersive & even now is an excellent piece of storytelling.
 
Time Travel wasnt that bad really. It was excellent in Blood Omen&enriched the story massively. The only Time Travel in Soul Reaver was at the end unless you count the passage of Time while Raziel Burned in the Lake of the Dead? Soul Reaver 2 by comparison was rather hectic with Temporal Shift Chambers shown scattered all over Nosgoth but helped to flesh out Nosgoth's hinted at History/Mythos&Lore/Fluff. Blood Omen 2 only featured in Cinematic passage of Time but showed that Fate can be disrupted.
