How would have German and Japanese Soldiers reacted if they met each other during WW2?
Now I understand that both the German Reich and the Japanese Empire never managed to push far enough into Asia to have their forces. I mean, I could rhyme myself a story together of what would happen, but I would prefer to hear some other peoples opinions on the matter.
In order for this meeting to be possible, I will change the historical setting a bit:
With the Luftwaffe still fighting an aerial over England, Hitler orders Operation Barbarossa to be put into action on the 22nd of June, 1941; in order to reach the rich Soviet oil fields. The German Wehrmacht plunged deep into Soviet territory and went as far as reaching Moscow in early 1942. But even with the capital captured along with the oil fields just a month later, the soviet will was not broken. The German Blitzkrieg on the front started to slow down but was still advancing. This continues on until Germany is gradually getting closer to western China by the day... (It is now 1944)
Japan, on the other side of the Globe, is having a similarly successful campaign against China. With quick advances against Chinese forces, similar to the German Blitzkrieg, the Japanese already control all of the Chinese coastline (Including Hong Kong (The Japanese declared war on England alongside Germany)). In 1941, the attack on Pearl Harbor never occurs as the Japanese have found oil in the northern Manchurian province of Heilongjiang two years before. So the war in China continues on with the Japanese Imperial Army keeping up a steady advance towards the Western borders of China... (It is also now 1944)
Now I know that both Germany and Japan did not have the Men to control the vast amounts of land of the USSR and China, but let's just say that there is no resistance. Even though that would be highly unlikely.
Now back to the original question:
I know that there could be various scenarios of the two meeting during that time. So in order to make it easier, I will list five different ways of Germans and Japanese first meet each other...

- The Germans and Japanese are closing in on the Russian-Chinese border. As both forces reach the border, around 24 Germans, well-equipped have plenty of rations along with 2 Tiger II Hs and StG 44s, look across the border and see (Unknowingly) 31 Japanese, who are also well-equipped have plenty of rations along with 3 Type 5 Chi-Ris and Type 100 submachine guns.
- During the heat of a battle between Japanese and Chinese soldiers at the Russian-Chinese border, a German scout troop arrives. The German officer notices that the soldiers fighting are neither Russain or German...
- Two early, but perfectly functional, Japanese Nakajima Kikkas patrol the west Chinese skies. Suddenly one pilot notices two dots in the distance. The dots are two German Ho 229s who's pilots are unaware that they have crossed the Eastern Russian Border into China...
- A German Naval force is patrolling in the Indian Ocean in search for British naval vessels. Amongst the ships is the, unsunk, Bismark Battleship and, completed, Graf Zeppelin Aircraft Carrier along with a fairly large escort. Heading towards them is the Japanese Navy including the Yamato Battleship and the Shinano Aircraft Carrier and plenty of escorts...
- As the Japanese Navy is fighting British ships in the Indian Ocean with the Yamato Battleship, Shinano Aircraft Carrier and escorts, the German Navy Arrives (Who had tracked down the British ships). Amongst the Germans are the Bismark Battleship and Graf Zeppelin Aircraft Carrier along with an escort. Just before the German Admiral orders his ships to fire upon the British, he notices that there is a different flag amongst the ships. The Flag of the Rising Sun...
