How would a fascist non aligned Sweden look like?

ITTL Sweden becomes fascist, either by a coup or by electing a fascist government that takes over, this government is axis inclined but does not outright joins the axis and remains neutral after WWII and falls somewhere in the 70s. How could this state look like?

How does this take over happen? Why would they remain neutral? There is no way to answer the question without a context. And what fascists? They were a tiny minority in OTl, what have happened to change that?

They remain neutral waiting for the "right time" to join the axis, but after it becomes clear that the axis is losing they decide to stay out of the war.

Maybe they rise during a more tourbulent 1920s, some political crisis rises and the german and italian governments begin to sponsor the swedish fascists, who ends up taking power in the mid 1930s.

It should be noted that the Germans pretty much tried supporting the nationalist parties in OTL, they were still a tiny minority that could not do anything. They got a combined total of 1.6% of the votes in 1936. And 1% total in 1932. And in general the 1920s were a rather good decade for Sweden. A lot of growth after the war, peace, jazz. So what has changed?

I don't know how to put those people in power, there is no way to make this with a pre WWI PoD?

A cold version of Italy with a smaller but competent army. If Sweden goes fascist it would happen in similar manner to Italy and the monarchy would be a integrated part of the new regime. But a fascist Sweden would still not be expansionist. So it would likely focus on develop itself internal it's pretty important to get that Sweden are around the same size as France, so there's plenty of room to internal development. Yes most of the empty land are shitty, but it could be developed to a greater degree.

Pre WWI is easier, my bet however would be during the hungry and socially unstable years like 1917. riots, demonstrations were frequent due to widespread food shortages and the government were unpopular. Some violent altercations did occur. Say those became far worse and the king and government together with the military fears a socialist revolution and seizes power? Still is pretty far fetched since the leftist parties at the time (the Liberal party and the Social democrates) have a large majority in the lower house

The Op wants them to be a Protestant Spain. This leader would hate Catholics the way Franco hated Protestants.

Probably wouldn't be the greatest idea, but you could have Hermann Goering stay in Sweden, that way you could have him apart of any group arising. One potential way I could see a Fascist Sweden is if there is either a Communist Finland, or a Soviet controlled Finland. With a Communist threat on their borders and the potential persecution of Swedish residents the Aland Islands. The movement would have to have a separate affiliation from the ones who formed and rose following Hitlers rise to power. If there can be a native born Fascist movement in Sweden it may have the potential, as long as they have someone more competent than say, Vidkun Quisling.

We could get close to what happened on Portugal OTL. Have the chaos from 1917 remain until the mid 1920s and this cause a nationalist military coup. Have some charismatic figure rise on the political scene that prevents Sweden from crumbling as the rest of europe after 1929 and so this figure convinces the junta to make a plebiscite to install a one party totalitarian regime. As the winter war begins, Finland could be directly helped by Sweden, maybe retaining it's channel islands from the soviets.

Red Finland which joins (or is forced to join) Soviet Union might be the key. Add ethnic cleansing of Swedish-speaking Finns to the mix.

There might not need to be any actual ethnic cleansing happening in Finland, either, just atrocities by predominately Finnish-speaking Reds towards upper- and middle-class Swedish-speakers which could be perceived as ethnic cleansing across the Gulf of Bothnia. It would be rather easy to get a situation where monolingual Finnish working class revolutionaries from the interior see people on the coast as "bourgeois bloodsuckers" just because they speak Swedish, due to the old understanding of Swedish as the language of the elite.

In fact I think a crucial factor might be the tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of people, both Finnish- and Swedish-speaking, and often de facto right wing and radicalized, who would flee from Finland to Sweden during/after the Communist takeover. They might well provide the push that would give that much more support to the Swedish far right and destabilize the Swedish political system to "help" it spin out of control.

Like someone has recently commented in Sweden, OTL Finland has been a country of unrealized disasters. If even one of those major disasters did come to pass, Sweden would have suffered for its reflected effects too, in some way at least.
