How does this take over happen? Why would they remain neutral? There is no way to answer the question without a context. And what fascists? They were a tiny minority in OTl, what have happened to change that?
It should be noted that the Germans pretty much tried supporting the nationalist parties in OTL, they were still a tiny minority that could not do anything. They got a combined total of 1.6% of the votes in 1936. And 1% total in 1932. And in general the 1920s were a rather good decade for Sweden. A lot of growth after the war, peace, jazz. So what has changed?
I don't know how to put those people in power, there is no way to make this with a pre WWI PoD?
The Op wants them to be a Protestant Spain. This leader would hate Catholics the way Franco hated Protestants.A cold version of Italy with a smaller but competent army. If Sweden goes fascist it would happen in similar manner to Italy and the monarchy would be a integrated part of the new regime. But a fascist Sweden would still not be expansionist. So it would likely focus on develop itself internal it's pretty important to get that Sweden are around the same size as France, so there's plenty of room to internal development. Yes most of the empty land are shitty, but it could be developed to a greater degree.
Pre WWI is easier, my bet however would be during the hungry and socially unstable years like 1917. riots, demonstrations were frequent due to widespread food shortages and the government were unpopular. Some violent altercations did occur. Say those became far worse and the king and government together with the military fears a socialist revolution and seizes power? Still is pretty far fetched since the leftist parties at the time (the Liberal party and the Social democrates) have a large majority in the lower house
Probably wouldn't be the greatest idea, but you could have Hermann Goering stay in Sweden, that way you could have him apart of any group arising. One potential way I could see a Fascist Sweden is if there is either a Communist Finland, or a Soviet controlled Finland. With a Communist threat on their borders and the potential persecution of Swedish residents the Aland Islands. The movement would have to have a separate affiliation from the ones who formed and rose following Hitlers rise to power. If there can be a native born Fascist movement in Sweden it may have the potential, as long as they have someone more competent than say, Vidkun Quisling.

Red Finland which joins (or is forced to join) Soviet Union might be the key. Add ethnic cleansing of Swedish-speaking Finns to the mix.
