It can hold off from coups or so, but it'll probably do worse in the Texan rebellion and will have to be put on life support by the US after losing the Mexican American War.. not a nice timeline if you ask me.
I don't know much about the history of Mexico so I apologize in advance if I get things disastrously wrong. Perhaps if Augustin I didn't do stupid things like disestablish Mexico's parliament and alienate vast swaths of the country that'd go a long way to helping his regime stick around in the long run?

Agreed. The biggest problem was that the empire was facing economic collapse. A big thing that hurt Augustin was his inability to pay his own loyal soldiers. Thus, hurting a strong portion of his support base.
