As a lot of you know, one of the main reasons that Native Americans didn't advance much was because of the lack of tamable animals. But what if they were set up with favorable conditions?

Possible animals to tame (North America):
Bison (food/transportation)
Reindeer (food/milk/transportation)
Turkey (food)
Wolf/fox/coyote (hunting)

Possible extinct animals to tame, if done early (North America):
Camelops (8,000 BC) (transport)
American Mastadon (4,000 BC) (transport/food/war beasts)
Columbian Mammoth (5,000 BC) (transport/food/war beasts)
(Pygmy) Wooly Mammoths (~3,000 BC) (transport/food/war beasts)

Possible animals to tame (South America):
Llama (transport)
Capybara (food)
Tapir (food)
Maned Wolf (hunting)
Peccary (food)

Other animals that might of helped, but would need to of survived without human intervention/before humans came into America:
Giant sloths (food/transportation) (North & South America)
North American llamas (transportation)
Giant herbivorous armadillos (North & South America (food/transportation/war beasts)
Sparassodonts (South America) (hunting)
Hippidion & other American horses (North & South America) (transport)

Extinct predators that wouldn't help the native americans, but should be un-extinct for the rule of awesomeness:
Smilodon
Phorusrhacids
Cave Bears
American Lion
Dire Wolf

Today I'd bet that the southern Mexico, the east coast US, the cascade region, and the north and eastern coasts of South America would have as many countries as Europe. When Columbus sails to America (assuming he isn't butterflied away and the Europeans reach America first) both sides experience their own apocalypse due diseases from American animals, but are able to hold their own against the forces of colonization from both sides. China and Japan would probably be the biggest winner of the re-discovery of America.

Also, is there anything else that could be added to the Americas to improve their technological progress?
