How sustainable was nazi inter service rivalry after victory?

From what I've read Hitlers encouragement of the Waffen SS, Wehrmacht and even Luftwaffe to compete for resources and power was very inefficient during the war.

After the war however i haven't seen discussion on this website about how sustainable this conflict was.

Let's say the Germans make peace with Britain 1940 and win against soviets in 41/42. They now have control over continental Europe up to the urals.

Let's also say that hitler dies in late 40s/early 50s.

Is it possible for the SS and army to exist as separate states within states during peace time or were non of Hitlers potential successors willing to let that happen?

Nazi victory has been discussed endlessly but I haven't seen a thread about service rivalrys continuation before.

It really depends who takes up the mantel after Hitler dies. If Martin Bormann or Himmler manages to seize control they would most likely favor the SS, possibly to the extent of making them the official army of the third reich in the future. Or the SS takes up the role of defending German colonies in the Lebensraum while the Wehrmacht is primarily concerned with the Reich's defence. This would be somewhat inefficient but the worse problems like competing for advanced tanks and recruits would subside because of increasing standardization. The E-50 would replace the Panzer and be replaced by something similar to the Leopard (?) and be provided in dual streams to each service. The SS could remain volunteer while the Heer maintains conscription. If a General like Guderian or Von Rundstedt managed to gain power they would obviously favor the heer and minimize (but not disband) the SS.

Goering was the primary source of dissociation and problems in the Luftwaffe, obviously the morphine would lead to his kicking of the proverbial bucket. Kesselring or Ritter von Greim would probably get it, being influenced by the Heer to favour a ground support orientation while also developing their jet aircraft. The Wehrmacht was a unified military so it would be easier for influential heer commanders to exert influence without Goering being there to deflect or ignore criticism or different conceptions.
