How successful could the Ayyubids be in Asia (after 1200)?

The Ayyubid dynasty began with Saladin, and gradually fell apart over the first half of the thirteenth century, in large part due to the Mongols, and ongoing strife, both within and without. How though, could an Ayyubid state have survived in Asia for as long as possible, and how big could it have become?

More strong heirs, instead of situations leading to conflict over who takes over.

Not sure how exactly you produce that, since part of it is chance, but that would cut down considerably on turmoil and allow for the sultans to strengthen their position instead of fighting internal rivals.

I was wondering if a POD concerning the Fifth Crusade might have been sufficient, given that the Ayyubid then running Egypt had offered generous terms (which were rejected) for getting the Europeans out of Damietta.

It might, but I'm not sure how exactly. The crusaders lost big time there.

Supposedly, before the failed assault down the Nile, the Crusaders were offered much/all of Palestine back in return for leaving Egypt. If this gives the Kingdom of Jerusalem an outlet on the Gulf of Aqaba, it might keep the Syrian and Egyptian Ayyubids out of the affairs of one another, until there is a later war with the crusaders, of course.

For Ayyubid didn't mameluke problem have to be solved ?

sooner or later, they will have weak or minor Sultan, and mameluke general will take over.

they need more reliable troop to be a counter for mameluke.

a kurdish troop ? Ottoman balance sipahis cavalry and janissary infantry.

The Mamluk problem in part as a result of Ayyubid instability and, more significantly, due to the Mongol incursions.
