How Spain could have lost the Americas?

Hi everyone. I have a question for you all. I have read recently that one of the great successes of Pilip was to get hold Spanish America so I wonder: Spain was really close of losing the Americas during the revolts of the Pizarro brothers, with the Corte´s son or even with Lope de Aguirre? Some European power might actually have expelled the Spanish from bases in Mexico?
What I mean is during the reigns of Charles and Philip there was really serious threats to the Spanish domination of America?

At that time, there wasn't any serious threat. No other European power could have mustered the naval power and military presence to dislodge the Spanish from Central America, and that was where they controlled the nougaty core.

France might have pulled it off, had France been able to unite its forces. But this was the sixteenth century.
