How much was Nazi Germany's war effort impeded by it's administration?

So who do we believe, the German's report or that of an independant economist.

I know which one I'm more likely to believe.

I believe he means the two official works done post war by German authorities.
Gotcha. Well considering they were written in the 1970s with access to the German records and the historians were and are quite anti-Nazi in outlook, I'd go with the team of multiple historians working together, rather than an economic historian trying to sell books by claiming to re-write the history of the war by himself.

Don't understand German and won't get my hands on to the books listed either, so :closedtongue:
Considering just how vast the topic is, they should be made into half semester courses with proper chapters using which anybody may have a discussion based on rock.
These things end up in the same direction with the basis of claims being questioned.
Is it possible to add stickies with some common long discussions related to economy, plausible scenarios etc ? Would make things more coherent instead of wading time and time again with the discussion being reset for every thread.

All the books mentioned are in English. You can get them from the library, that's how I did it; interlibrary loan is your friend, you just need the time to try and plow through them, they are vast tomes.

If only.
