I've been Reading some post apocalyptic novels.

In many stories the humans who live among the semi-burried and burned
remains of a prior human civilization have no direct connection to and
fragments of the works of the lost civilization seem fantastical to them,
much like the greek stories of old to us.

My view is that if the written word is lost for say 600 years, in those
30 generations of men, no story of that distant past will be acurate.
and any surviving literature from the past will be diffcult place in time
and place. What is your estimate.

And Speaking of Lost Civilizations. Cro-Magnon existed for 30,000 years.
Knowing how vulnerable coastal settlements to Tsunami's, is it possible
that a civilization existed that was technologically as advanced as the
renaissance period in europe. The Driving engine to flatten these nacent
modernist, Small Asteroids. There is an estimate that every 100 years
a rock of some sort of <100 yards impacts the earth. In 1,000 years
this rock can be up to 500 yards. If this rock lands anywhere in the seas
It will wipe out settlements far and wide. Vulcanism can also trigger a
"RESTART" look at Thera. So the progression of Cromagnon-Human advancement over 40,000 years may be a Very sinusoidal wave, with only
the last 3,000 being stable enough to keep a Regional Restart in Euro-Asia.
