So most european kingdoms where originally ruled without an actual capital and the king with his court moved around his realm. In most countries the court eventually stayed at one place e.g. Paris in France. In the Holy Roman Empire however there never really developed an actual capital. The Reichstag convened permanently in Regensburg just after the 30 years war when the Holy Roman Empire had no strong central authority anymore. Today the european pairlament travels between Brussels and Straßbourg but the executive of the EU sits in Brussels. So this leads to my question: How long is an itinerant court viable? Could there still exist a traveling capital in modern day european countries?
