How long could Jim Crow survive?

Prevent WWI, WWII, and the Cold War

With a peaceful 20th century, while maintaining the European Empires, greatly slows down technological and social progress.

Absolutely not. A more peaceful twentieth century would have greater technological and social progress, because we would'nt have lost thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of scientists and reformers on the battlefields and from the great social disruption.

If Kennedy had lived, or a Dixiecrat had swung the 1960 election, it could've lasted until the 80's. Reagan was still making racist appeals to white voters then, and even Carter felt the need to demurr on the subject, so the sentiment was still there and could still win votes. Foggy bottom might have felt the need for a change, but since when do gray suited bureaucrats sway the man on the street, especially when it comes to irrational hate?

I agree. And bear in mind, Trump is still making racist appeals. I myself have spoken with people who honestly believe Obama is a terrorist, and call him "half-black", because they just cannot accept that a dark-skinned man is President legitimately.

"slightly slows dow technological in some fields and slow a bit social progress".
Yes,i agree.
But also without WW-II only, i think that decolonization is much more slow (some colonies were very rich of petroleum and raw materials, think to Libia, think to many African countries, and others could not be let go for political reasons..more, without WW-II and cold war the majority of European public opinions don't give a damn of fierce repressions of natives).
In this timeline a relative isolationist America keep the "Jim Crow laws" much longer, probably until the end of XX century or the early XXI.
Obviously American society is quite different from OTL.
No WW-II (and cold war) is not post war boom,no Gj bills,no great corporations of military-industrial system in 50s and 60s,no baby boom and counterculture of 60s, no politically correctness.

I feel like actual Jim Crow enforced by rule would last into the late 70's and maybe the early 80s in some locales- I also wonder if things are slower if some northerners might start going back to segregation- like in older ethnic neighborhoods like South Boston or Hell's Kitchen before it was gentrified or the more white ethnic parts of the south side of Chicago especially as these areas become more black and some people might not want to leave-

Here's my question- Would there be southern liberals who'd try to push their state towards the future- Like a Bill Clinton or Al Gore (though Al Gore might end up being more conservative in a scenario like this)

I think southern Democrats in the mold of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. I think Carter may not have been elected Governor of Georgia and thus never would have became president. He would have stayed in the agriculture business more than likely. I think Clinton despite how much he loved Arkansas may have tried to run for office down there in the 1970s like in OTL. But would have lost that AG race in 1976 and after that I could see him moving to Washington, D.C. and taking some lobbyist job on Capitol Hill or working for some law firm in the D.C. area. Maybe running for office in a state like Maryland or Virginia. When Al Gore was in congress he was a bit more conservative than he was as vice-president. He too I think though would have maybe stayed in the House or returned to journalism.
