How large did Hideyoshi plan his Empire

Note, i am not saying realistic, but theoretical how large was his empire planned in his mind. I have heard China, SE asia, india, and even persia, but i do not know full details.

He wanted China, which in the perspective of China and her tributaries (including Japan) would have made him ruler of everything on earth worth ruling. The rest he would probably content collecting tribute and nominal submission from, as emperors were happy to do throughout Chinese history.

Yes, but I have also heard of India and even persia, out of china's sphere.

Given the boundless ambition required to even want to be emperor of China, I have no doubt that he would have wanted every place on Earth if he could have. If he had somehow conquered all the way to Persia, he would have started talking about Africa and Europe. If he had somehow conquered all the old world, he would have ordered fleets to be built to take the new world from the remnants of the European colonial empires.

It's the same as, say, Napoleon. If Napoleon had conquered Europe and broken Britain, he would have turned his gaze to the rest of the world. If Hitler had put Earth under the Swastika, he would have accelerated the rocket programs to conquer and colonize space. That kind of ambition is a bottomless pit.

So like how Alexander did not know when to stop...

To be fair he did listen when his troops said “no further,” at least because otherwise he would have lost said troops!
Several times however they tried, and he refused. He stopped because they were close to mutiny. Now he wasn't planning on lording in greece, his next stop would be arabia...
