I've been fascinated by the Mirdasids for a while now. I really enjoy the way they managed to play both the Byzantines and Fatimids off each other, and their role as a resurgent Arab dynasty in a time period when the Turks were pushing the Arabs out of power to a large degree.
Also they came pretty close to taking Egypt once upon a time, if I recall correctly.
So long story short, what's the greatest extent they could rule? Could they become a major Levantine power? Conquer Egypt? Take advantage of a non-butterflied Turkish conquest in Anatolia to properly assert their independence? What is their limit?
