With a POD of Quincy Adams not running in 1824 and then somehow beats Jackson in 1828, how would the Nullification Crisis play out if the President is a protectionist Massachusettsan? Obviously he'd have very little support in the South, but more support than Jackson in the North:
Potentially New England would be more supportive, with the South being more hostile and possibly have Jackson's home state of Tennessee flipping.
So, would secession be viewed as a greater option here? How would Quincy react to the South's decision?
