How does France keep Quebec during the Seven Years War?

As the title says. I was thinking what the repercussions would be like if the French still remained in control of Quebec during/after the seven years war, and even during the American Revolution and beyond.
What would it take for the french to remain in control of Quebec during this era? Would we see closer relations with France, or would the Americans be wary of them similar to how they were with the British during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Without a French loss of Quebec there's much less incentive for an American Revolution since the colonial elites are going to see continued presence of British troops as justified to protect them against possible French encroachment. This is why colonial gentry like Washington happily served in the colonial militias.

I'm not quite so sure. How and when this plays out does matter. The return of Louisburg to France is cited as one of the instigating factors in the Independence movement (it was returned to France in return for France withdrawing from the Low Countries).

So, let's take two possibilities: it gets returned as part of a peace treaty to restore Prussia. Okay, so the colonists are angry that yet again they fought a war for someone else's benefit.

Alternatively, let's suppose that the colonists fail to take it because they don't send enough troops properly. Then you get another impetus for Franklin's Plan of Union, no?

The main problem that the French have in North America is that the demographics are heavily against them. During the Seven Years War, there were about 60,000 colonists in all of New France. There are 2.5 million American colonists in the 13 colonies at the same period.

So, if the French do manage to keep Quebec during the 7YW, it's going to be an uphill battle to hang on to it in any subsequent war. I think you would need to have a much more powerful France that is capable to transferring huge amounts of troops and supplies to New France in the future in order for Quebec to continue to exist as a French colony.

Either that, or have the ARW not happen and have a very secure peace treaty with Great Britain. Which is unlikely, because the British and French hate each other as a matter of principle, and this transfers over to their colonists.
