How different would WWII have been if Lenin was alive and led the Soviets?

He was born IN 1870.

Hard to see him living until 1941. He had a range of illnesses, including hyperacusis (which makes ordinary sound levels cause terrible pain), narrowing of the cerebral arteries (which led to the series of strokes that killed him), and likely syphilis. It is somewhat surprising that he made it into 1924 (his 3rd stroke was severe enough that is could easily have killed him).

I suppose if he was healthier he could have lived into his seventies or eighties. Not sure what butterflies that would cause though with regards to the soviet leadership.

Wouldn't that improve Lenin's health much if Kaplan wouldn't try assassinate Lenin or Lenin doesn't injure seriously?

Anyway, even if Lenin would live to 1930's, there would be massive butterflies. He would be very different leader as Stalin. Yes, there would be stil Hitler but Lenin would do very different things. Might be that there wouldn't even equalement of Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.
