How did the colonial empires in Africa compare and contrast to the ones in the Americas?

Like in some world where Africa remained colonized for some centuries, how would it look compared to Latin America, especially in the places where natives were a large population that couldn't be pushed aside? (like in North America and the Southern cone). Could we expect some cultural mixing like in the Americas, if not, why? I suppose it would take a comparison between colonial rule , so maybe someone more knowledgeable than me could provide that. If there is cultural mixing, how would Africa look like ethnically , linguistically, and religiously?

In Africa, I assume it would depend on which colonial empire, so would the various colonies( British, French, Belgium( shudder), Portuguese, Italian and German) colonies look like after many years of dominance in the above mentioned categories.

Please don't debate on how the colonial empires could survive, there's enough of those, but please debate on how they would look like.

I dodn't really understand the question.

Mexico and Peru were under colonial rule from the 1520s to the 1820s, so around 300 years. What you're asking is what would an African country under foreign rule for 300 years look like?

Well Egypt? Libya? Algeria? Eritrea? The arab/turkish control of North Africa lasted far longer than 300 years.

Zanzibar was under arabic rule for about 300 years, too.

Or the cape in South Africa, which again had about 300 years of rule from europe. And is still working out how to deal with the large white population that was the result of that.

We don't have to imagine what an africa with a long history of foreign rule looks like. It's Cape Town and Cairo.

I mean like European colonial control, as the Americas and Africa were both held by European colonial empires, so if Africa was dominated longer, how would it look like culture wise? In Latin America, the Native and European cultures mixed , so would that happen to Africa or would something else happen?

Also how did the colonial rule in both Africa and the Americas compare and contrast,in regards to how the Natives were treated.

Heya, I would say the question could ee clearer ;)

Second, it's also because the answer is yes, of course there would be some syncretism. The fact many of the colonies speak the metropole language and are Christians are proof of that.
You already had the local elites being trained in Europe (Senghor, Ghandi...) after all
