How could the movies make it even more wrong?

If they really wanted to make it right then Keira Knightley should have fought either topless or naked, because both were not uncommon among the celts and trhe saxons.

she actually did do part of the battle scene topless... unintentionally. Apparently, she had a 'wardrobe malfunction' during the filming, and her bikini top slipped upward off her breasts, leaving them exposed to the world for a while, and allowing several clandestine pics from this glorious moment to make their way onto the internet...

Of course, when Hollywood does spend the extra money to do it right, like with the Christopher Plummer film Waterloo, no one goes to see it.

Which is a pity because the scene with Ney charging the British is gorgeous.

Funny running into this thread after I've just seen Walker. But at least its inaccuracies were intentional. Well, a few of them may not have been.

Basically any War film produced by Hollywood, they have Americans winning the war without any involvement from other countries.

I assume you've never seen a 'Nam movie.

It had King Arthur in a castle that seemed to have flags with the English royal coat of arms... oh and the hero kept talking about saving England from the Saxons.

Maybe he was a sympathizer of the Angles.

It was a bit cold that day.......

Either that, or she has a no nudity clause in her contracts: there's quite a few A-list actresses who don't do nudity (which sucks, but not everyone's comfortable taking it all off for the camera).
