I've noticed that whenever somebody in this forum comes up with a scenario for a potential Axis victory (succesfull Sealion, Mediterrean strategy, an alliance between Germany and Spain, an alliance between Germany and Turkey, no German attack to the Soviet Union, etc.) other members argue (with very well-founded arguments) that such a scenario is either impossible, or slightly possible...but that it wouldn't have lead to an Axis victory.
So, my questions are:
1) Is there
any scenario in which the Axis could have won WWII with a Pod after September 1st, 1939?
2) If so, would a whole series of Pods would be neccesary (such as: no attack to the Soviet Union + Stalin dying + Roosvelt dying + no US intervention + no attack to the Soviet Union + a Mediterrean strategy ... and so on), or could a single Pod do the trick (like, let's say, Japan focusing on the Soviet Union ionstead of south-East Asia)?
I'm sure someone would ask: what do you mean by an Axis victory? Well, it doesn't have to imply that the Axis forces are rulling the entire world. The US will certainly survive, and even the Great Britain and the Soviet Union could remain more or less intact (though I'd rather avoid this last bit if possible). A cold world between any of these and the Axis forces is possible. But there must be a sort of official treaty (or maybe just a ceasfire agreement) that leaves the axis countries, specially Germany, which much more territory than before the war. France and Poland must have been defeated. This are the basic requirements: but the more complete the Axis victory is, the more significant their gains are and the greter the number of "allies" defeated, the better (
Just for the purposes of this scenario, OK?
