How could Edward VI thwart Northumberland plot?

How do you think could Edward VI thwart Northumberland plot?

Did Edward VI know that Jane Grey was married to Guilford Dudley?

Jane Grey was only told about her position as Edward´s heir shortly before he died. And in the original devise Edward himself proposed, she was not his heir - her heirs male were to be, and Frances Brandon was to be a Governess of the Realm. This did not suit Northumberland, and he called Frances Brandon to Edward´s sickbed, to persuade him that Jane was deserving as a Queen in her own right, and that Frances was giving up her own rights to the throne.

Suppose that Edward then demands for Jane to be called to his sickbed, and to chat with her in private.

What do you think would the teenagers come up with?

It is an exaggeration to even consider it as a plot. Edward VI is often seen as a cypher firstly for Seymour and then Northumberland that just isn't the case - he was rapidly growing and showing all the imperial ambition of his father with added protestant reformist zeal. Edward was concerned with the succession and motivated a desire to prevent his sister Mary succeeding hence his device for the succession and his preference for the heirs male.
Had Jane been summonsed to his sick bed then I suspect he would have merely charged her with the preservation of the Protestant reformed state.
