How could all of Ireland remain British?

How could all of Ireland remain British to this day? What would be the result of this? Would this lead to other colonies remaining British as well?

Short of a dictatorship in Britain willing to rule by force this isn't possible with a POD this late.

By 1900 the genie of nationalism was out of the bottle. It would take massive repression and political will to accept casualties to keep Ireland in the UK. Even keeping the monarchy of the Irish Free State seems unlikely. Maybe if Britain paid Ireland yearly for keeping the monarchy, which would be very unpopular at home.

How could such a dictatorship arise? Would it be plausible that World War 1 lasting longer could lead to mutinying and the overthrow of the monarchy?

Communist revolution in the United Kingdom that turns Ireland into a socialist republic within ?

With 1900 POD it is very difficult if not impossible. There was strong national sentiment at least since 1840's. So at least you should handle Potato Famine crisis much better. And then give more autonomy for Ireland.

And even if Brits can keep Ireland, they can't keep whole of their colonial empire. It is just impossible and not worth of that. Many colonial subjects would rise against Brits on some point and get independence with or without violence.
