How advanced a Nazi space program?

I wonder if the Nazis had won WW2 how advanced a Nazi Space program could they have had let fastforward 25-40 years from 1945?

I am very pessimistic about Nazi Science post war. While German scientists developed many brilliant innovations at the time, their next generation replacements would have learned a highly indoctrinated education designed to make them loyal, not innovative.

The Future of Nazi Science might well be scary wacktards like Mengele, not meaningful competition with the United States.

The Defense industry label and the importance of ICBMs can't be overstated, but this would be only the beginnings of a space program. The Nazis' technological edge over the USA will fade away as the indoctrination destroys scientific inquiry in favor of some kind of Nazi Lysenkoism.

What happens when Von Braun dies and his replacement knows jack crap about rockets other than Nazis invented them and half the other things of the world?

Read The Master Plan:Himmler’s Scholars and the Holocaust (2006) by Heather Pringle. They had some deeply, deeply weird ideas about what made good science.

The space program might get into trouble. A Raumfahrer who got too high might break the shell of ice and bring about a new devastation. Both Himmler and Hitler believed in the Welteislehre, which had that sort of thing.

At the other extreme you had things like the Elemag project, which was supposed to build a device that would shut down all electric power in an enemy country. Who do you think Indiana Jones was fighting?
