Just finished the AH novel 'Hot Moon'. Very interesting novel. The POD is in 1966 when Sergei Korolev survives his heart attack. This causes the USSR to push ahead with their moon program and they beat the USA to the moon by a few months. As a result, Nixon apparently double downs on the space program and pulls out of Vietnam. Its 1979 and both nations have bases on the moon. In addition, rather than the spy satellite program in OTL both nations have Manned Orbital labs to observe each other. The USA is up to Apollo 32.
