Horizon to Horizon: The Imperial Commonwealth of the United States

Hmmmm. I see. However, the circumstances of TTL just made the American Congress a possibility. And I don't think that this will evolve into regional Congresses anymore. Prince Edward's presence will not make it happen along with the start of the developments of an American identity in the halls of Congress. Sure, colonial jealousies were still strong. Colonial divides too. But events in London and Europe will tone them. Just stay tuned. ;)

Continued ties with London will benefit USA greatly, even more than what OTL has to offer, interestingly. London will benefit too, but it depends on how open minded you are if you're British. America will not develop here in isolation from the Old World. Rather, it will benefit in continued connections to it. That's the plan.

The thing which confuses me reading this TL is America's position in future. It implies that the United States will replace Britain as the metropole of the Empire, beginning the shift towards the Imperial Commonwealth. But, there are also implications that America will try and fight for its independence.

Hmmmmm.....

:p:p

How will the United States of America try to fight for more independence in its affairs??

Stay tuned.

EDITED: I've took out the spoilers. I don't think it's a good idea to make these kinds of 'flash-forwards' to the future. Especially if they're just hypothetical anyway. It's also drains out the energy out of me in making updates too, I've just realized. And probably out of you readers too in keeping the interest (silent or not) in the thread. It's totally bad.

I'm not going to make any future preset assumptions of what would my Imperial National Commonwealth should look like in the future. It's more fun that way. And it makes me more open minded of making A LOT OF BUTTERFLIES.

Ok. But I will say this as my stated goal: A USA tied to Britain. In a manner different from that of COHE or other American monarchy or Loyalist America threads. That's all. I don't want to feel unabashedly wankish right now.

Whether this would lead to a USA to replace Britain as the metropole of the 'Anglo' Empire as Mumby had speculated, it's actually still up for grabs. This is still 1767. And I'm a fan of making butterflies.... which would lead to more butterflies.... rendering the world year after year more unrecognizable in many things than OTL.

So, yeah, as of now, for those who've read the spoilers; it's now 80% unguaranteed that they will happen. ALL OF THEM. A lot of butterflies might be flapping in the future that I can't just make those things happen anymore. There's still that 20% window of hope opening though and I can't guarantee that more light of wank can enter through that window. Unless I decided to destroy the entire wall so all of the light can get pass through, but then we will also get the alien space bats to enter too. And this is not the right forum for that.

We'll see.

Just have some faith with me. I'm hoping to make a very good timeline. Thanks for all of those who've spent time here.

In terms of the spoilers, all of them were just hypothetical plans. :p All of them might not even happen at all already.

Ok. Now I'm bad in making spoilers. Hehehe.

EDIT: Especially after being educated by this thread called "Irritating cliches about Pre-1900 AH". (which pretty much a list of personal "I don't likes" than actual cliches... but you get the point.....)

While I'm making a blatant Ameri-Britwank cliche thread (depends on how 'wanked' it could be); It would be terrible to make myself be trapped inside cliches of "Britannia rules the waves and France and Spain and Germany and Russia and all others gets divided and fragmented while bowing to the might of the intercontinental Britannia superstate... Yehey...!...." without getting into detail how did all of this happen but then handwaving problems and challenges that all states has to face... and yet also going into the equally irritating cliche of the theory of perpetual decline of EVERY state... as opposed to the concept of uber wanks.

I'll go with the middle path.

And mind you, I consider OTL as sort of an "Ameriwank" (not the right term for the word 'highly successful' really) in a historical manner with the 1783 USA as my default America (that's an America independent of Britain, but that's not what my TL is all about).

A super duper wank is tempting to do but it would be great injustice to not notice the achievements of other polities over there, even when I'm making a fanboy timeline of sorts that could be wanked in some way. And yeah, I'm tired of many cliches mentioned on that thread; as well as some of those who went into the lines of personal don't likes than actual cliches.

And I would try my best to mention the good and the bad in every update... and not make handwavium updates on challenges and problems that every great historical polity has to face, noting Roman history from 8th century BC to 1453.... yeah... 1453 with all of its ups and downs until finally going into that "inevitable fall" or "perpetual decline" as some people might put it.

And it might also be a while before I can make updates. But I'll try my best to make one once I've went into this stream of consciousness thing with all of these ideas swamping my brain.

Let's just see.

Just want to tell everybody that I'm just quite a bit busy and having some Internet problems as of late, but I'm still into this! :D

EDIT: Sorry for the very long hiatus era of this for the lurking readers. But this TL is now currently on hiatus.
