Holy Alternate Reality Bat-man!: A TL.

This is an idea I have had in my head for a while. and it's my first non-asb section attempt at a Story or TL. Also note that part 1 is going to be posted in multiple posts (mainly to ensure that I don't accidentally delete a huge chunk of writing like a did a few hours ago)
Part 1

In early 1939, the success of Superman in Action Comics prompted editors at the comic book division of National Publications to request more super heroes for it's comics. In response, Bob Kane conceived "the Bat-Man". Bat-Man made his comic book debut in June 1939 in 28th issue of Detective Comics.(1)

You've mentioned before you were considering a alt-history-of-comics based TL. Be interesting to see what you come up with.

Bat-Man did not prove popular and didn't appear in another Detective Comic, Although as a whole Super Hero Comics were doing very Well in the late 30s, early 40s.

In the Summer of 1939, Superman continued to show his success. He became the very first Super hero to get an entire Comic devoted to him. Before that all comic books had a number of characters and stories in them.

Between 1939 and 1941 Detective Comics, Inc. introduced The Flash, Green Lantern, the Atom, Hawkman, Aquaman, and the First Super Heroine Wonder Woman (created by Dr. William Moulton Marston, one of the chief developers of the polygraph lie detector test)

Picture Unrelated.

DC wasn't the only popular comic book company at the time. Other Companies such as Timely Comics and Quality Comics released very popular character such as the Human Torch, the Sub-Mariner. Plastic-Man, The Spirit, Captain America, and Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel in particular would soon surpass Superman in popularity and led to one of the first major legal battles in Comic history.

This is quite interesting...

It's impressive how quickly Batman goes away. "Hey look, here's Batman. You know, one of the most famous, long-lived, and recognizable comic characters ever. Well, here he's a completely different color, and only lasts a single issue. Now onto the rest!"

The Golden Age had a lot of characters that simply came and went in a couple of issues, and Bob Kane's original idea for Batman was just bad. Heck that picture wasn't even as bad as his very first draft of it, in that draft he wore a sign as big as flavor flav's clock that said "Bat-Man" On it.

Okay looking at this now, I am not happy at how I am started this (all 24 or so words of it) so I am currently in the process of writing a proper introduction, which will feature among other things, some interesting pre-POD info on the The Platinum Age, and some amusing pictures from the Golden age.
