Holocaust with greater Jewish resistance

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_resistance_under_Nazi_rule

WI there'd been more & greater resistance by Jews during the Holocaust- such as more outbreaks similar to the Warsaw Ghetto Rising or the Sobibor, Treblinka & Auschwitz rebellions ? WI say the RAF/USAAF had bombed Auschwitz, in co-ordination with Jewish underground members inside the camp who then orchestrated a mass rebellion ? WI also say other cities which had largescale deportations, such as Budapest in 1944, had their Jewish sections break out in open revolt ?

(ps: I have no intention of this thread being used for flaming purposes...)

Most probably Jews would have been massacred with only consolation they took some Germans with them. Problem is that once the Jews were closed in ghettoes organizing any resistance was very hard. Acquiring weapons, training - it was hard enough in occupied Poland outside ghettoes, in cramped isolated area it was nearly impossible (and yet sometimes the Jews succeeded). Also, hunger and diseases physically weakened imprisoned people, often to death. Half-starved soldier is not very effective one. Bravery, dedication and desperation are enough to fight, but not enough to win.

I studied the Warsaw ghetto uprising at Uni, and a lot of things had to fall into place for it to happen. Not least that long-established community leaders had to be seen as not legitimate and the fighting organisation taking over community leadership in the eyes of the residents. As for results, I doubt it would stop many Jews going into the camps because by the time resistance was seen as viable the Holocaust juggernaut was well up to speed, and that's the result we'd want.
