Hitlers war without Pacific war

Let's point out that there were 140,000 troops in Malaya and Singapore, so without a Pacific war they could easily have stripped out perhaps 2/3 of that, and keeping Force Z would have been a bonus.
3/4 of those 'troops' were badly trained militia. Actaully you only have the 8th Australian division in all of Britain's Asian possessions to be of any immediate combat value.

But at least the 18th UK division isn't sent to Singapore to surrender.

Most of the bonus of no Japanese entry for the British is in 1942+:

Example: 6th and 7th Australian division went to the Pacific from North Africa in January 1942. These experienced divisions would have been a significant addition in Africa at the time.

Troops can be trained, if they arent sitting on what has suddenly become the front lines.

Don't forget the possible couple of million troops freed up from the British Indian Army.

The Largest All Volunteer army of the war, 3-million strong by the end of it.

But would they volunteer in such numbers had there not been Japanese troops on Indian border.

On the US - IIRC Victory program was started well before December 1941. It was one of the factors that caused Hitler to embark on Barbarossa when he did.

And most used as garrison troops in India, not out of fear from a Japanese invasion but of an uprising.

I agree 6th & 7th Australian Div's, 18th Div, 2nd Div, 70th Div, 7th Armoured brigade, 44th, 45th Indian brigades all Not sent to the far east (including India) in 1941/42

The 99 Hurricanes sent to Singapore/Sumatra would not have been sent, although how useful Hurricanes would be in Europe as fighters in 1942 is another question.

Without these formations being sent to Asia, Britain would have nothing in the Pacific to strip!
