I don't think you would call it PTSD

Now, the war deeply affected Hitler, but it did give him PTSD, on the country, it was one of the defining events of his life

The period when he was blind, y'mean? I recall the doctor who treated him blamed himself to a degree, because he told Adolf that only men with a great purpose, grand, fine, important, vital men, could recover. And Hitler puffed himself up as a result of that. IIRC, the doctor got chased out of Germany by Himmler's chaps in the mid-thirties. But it's a while since I saw the article.
