Not really a timeline, rather an interesting point of divergence for those wanting to kill Hitler. Apparently in OTL a young Adolf Hitler was wounded and was sighted by a British War Hero Henry Tandy, who in an act of mercy, decided not to fire. Hitler would later go on to put up a photograph of Tandy in his residence, having some respect for the man.
Private Henry Tandy, a rifleman in the 5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment notices a wounded German soldier wander into view. Almost instinctively, Tandy draws a bead and fires striking the man in the right side of his chest, throwing him into the into the mud. Lance Corporal Adolf coughs rolls over gasping for air, clutching the rapidly spreading red stain on his jacket. With a sickening gurgle, blood drips down from one side of Hitler's mouth. He convulses then passes away, his glassy eyes staring into the uncaring sky, just another casualty in the war to end all wars.
Not the only POD I know, but one that I think would be fun to include.
