Hillary Clinton Cabinet- 50% Women

It's 2008 and Hillary Clinton has just been elected president. In a show of gender equality, she decides that 50% of her cabinet will be female.

Name that cabinet!

That's secretaries and cabinet-level positions. 24 total, including the president and vice president.

Don't worry about the confirmation process now, but try to make them nominees a serious Democratic president might actually go for.

Oh and election results were otherwise OTL.

(Note: This is meant to be a game. Please throw your ASB red cards elsewhere, thanks.:p)

highly unlikely, just think what would happen if the GOP hear it :p

but Michèle Flournoy for defense (off the top of my head)

-Pencil in Obama for VP (Obama for VP would be much more important to Clinton than Clinton for VP was for Obama)

A few possibilities from OTL's Obama cabinet, who were early Obama supporters but might be used to bury the hatchet (they probably get different titles, but one or both might be in):
-Kathleen Sebelius OTL at HHS
-Janet Napolitano OTL at Homeland Security

-Hilda Solis was a Clinton supporter originally, and had an excellent resume for Secretary of Labor, so that probably stays the same

-Jennifer Granholm seems like a reasonable choice for Attorney General, and will be facing term-limits in 2010.

EDIT: if Obama isn't VP, he definitely gets offered a prestigious cabinet position somewhere, but don't ask me where

The runner-up for the nomination has often become secretary of state if the person he/she lost to is elected President.

Secretary of Defense: Jane Harman
Secretary of Homeland Security: Janet Napolitano
Secretary of Labor: Hilda Solids
Secretary of Health and Human Services: Kathleen Sebelius
Attorney General: Jennifer Granholm
Secretary of Veterans Affairs: Claudia Kennedy

Just a few thoughts

Obama wouldn't leave the Senate for AG, VP only, and doesn't have the same resume for State.

Christine Fox for Defense?
