Hensonverse Speculation and Commentary

  • Curse of the Gill-Man: (2015) A documentary from Jon Schnepp, covering the infamously troubled 1998 remake of Creature from the Black Lagoon[3]; ⭐⭐⭐

There are two things about the Black Lagoon post I did that I am kicking myself that I missed:

Number one: Not having Guillermo del Toro as the "director who gets screwed over by Universal" rather than Peter Jackson. (The reason why I made it Peter Jackson was because he was actually offered a remake OTL). The fact it slot pretty neatly into the "activist investor" proxy war plot was a happy coincidence.

Number two: That I couldn't think of a better name for the "hellish production retrospective" documentary than Black Lagoon: The Doomed Journey.

You, @WhovianHolmesianChap, have succeeded where I failed - your name is far better. I've got "snippets" from my idea for the documentary, if you'd like to see them.

Thanks, I adored your Creature post. And yes, I would very much like to see it.
