Hensonverse Speculation and Commentary

So having finished @Ogrebear's Star Trek post (sorry for the delay on that) one thought that occurs is the idea that Lt. Trass (a Kzinti) had to be a Creatureworks animatronic (if I understood the Gorn footnote correctly) when both his make-up job from The Voyage Home:

and this cosplay costume:

proves that more practical effects could have worked nearly as well.

Edit: After posting this a thought occurred, what if both was used, ala the Ninja Turtles from the original live action films? Just a thought.

Only real world dates when they went back in time - rest of the time it was stardates - I think that changes in the movies though.

I think Spaceflight Chronology would certainly influence TNG, along with the various novels, RPG stuff, and technical manuals - Gene would probably still force WW3 in there, as he did OTL, but once he was 'bounced upstairs' again after the Murphy Compromise, I figure the experienced Trek writers would make the timeline work, and the Chronology they make would be based on Spaceflight, but with a load of new stuff - an expanded, revised edition if you like.

I did not touch on it in my piece, but I suspect the FASA RPG writers are brought in more closely so the RPG synch's better with the Timeline, which likely means FASA keeps the licence.
Almost all of these sources are included in this chronology which you can read starting here:
Everything after 2299 just shifts over to the OTL canonical time with 2300 = 2361.

I am long familar with the Spaceflight Chronology and the quite alternative Trek universe they present.

Have wanted to do a collaborative based on that timeline since it is so different to the 'Prime' one we have given it has Humanity taking to the stars without a WW3 as presented in later Trek, with the 90's conflicts taking its place.

It is a fasinating timeline.

Why don't you. I do agree that WWIII needs to be included considering it was referenced in the TOS episodes "The Savage Curtain" (along side Colonel Green) and "Bread and Circuses".

Here's a idea that just popped into my head:

By the late 1990s ITTL, Disney owns not just Disneyland and Disney World, but a chain of Disneytowns across North America. It's mentioned that all of Disney's parks often feature live music; IIRC the Disneytowns in particular have a focus on (often) less well-known local/regional acts and gain a reputation as a place to see the "music stars of the future".

So here's my big idea: A musical competition between acts from Disney's North American parks.
I'm thinking a Eurovision-style setup where each park (Disneyland, Disney World, and the various Disneytowns) sends forward a musical act for the competiton. They compete in front of a live audience at one of Disney's flagship parks (either Disneyland or Disney World) and on live national TV (NBC), and both in-person concert attendees and TV viewers at home can vote for their favorite. Winner gets bragging rights, a not-insiginifcant amount of money, and a recording contract offer from Disney's music divison.

So basically American Idol but without all the shit audition singing?

So at the time that WWF collapsed the following promotions were on the national scale with WCW apparently becoming the biggest one to replace WWF so the question is what happens with the following:
NWA
ECW
USWA
UWF (Herb Abrams)
Which becomes the competition for WCW and who, if anyone, picks up the others for TV? Do any of these collapse at the same time as WWF for the same basic reason?

As a result, the franchise was handed over to Hong Kong action director John Woo who brought his Heroic Bloodshed sensibilities to future installments which included a prequel released in the new millennium focusing on a younger Victor and Tony in 1970s France, an 80s-set prequel about the corrupt Stansfield released in 2003, a 2007 sequel about an older Mathilda and Nikita, and various spinoffs focusing on other assassins around the world, even including secret societies.
I hope this means we can include variations on Kiss of the Dragon and John Wick in this cinematic universe?

  • Anna Popplewell as Scorpia Spinx.
Who's Scorpia Spinx?

Who?
  • Rowan Atkinson as the Bloody Lord.
ITTL The Bloody Baron?
  • Danielle Taylor[21] as Olivia Wood.
Genderbent Oliver Wood?
  • Siobhan Allpress[8] as Catrìona Peregrine.
Who?
  • Kieran and Morgan Tilly as Tom and John Puckle.
Who?
  • Luke Youngblood as Jordan Lee.
Renamed Lee Jordan?
  • Meredith Lloyd-Owens as Pansy Goyle.
ITTL Pansy Parkinson?

ITTL Marcus Flint?
  • Devon Murray as Shane Finnigan.
ITTL Seamus Finnigan?

ITTL Arthur Weasley or Bill Weasley? Also who's Francis J. O'Connell?

Who for both?
  • Holliday Grainger as Lavender Parkinson.
ITTL Lily Potter?
  • Alison Doody as Bridget Teller.
Who?
  • Michael Kilgarrif as Bower (voice).
Who?

Who's Scorpia Spinx?
Was described on here, as a vital character in the Harry Fletcher novels and Draco's cousin. And since she's described on having raven-hair in comparison with Draco's blonde, I'm actually planning on a secret to be revealed at sometime during the books as to why Scorpia is raven haired as well as a troublemaker.
Is this the ITTL Neville Longbottem?
Neville Longbottom and, yes.
In short, Leonidas Scrimwick is the head of Gryffynhart House, since @Geekhis Khan in his initial post on the Harry Fletcher series did not provide details on one and TTL's Minerva McGonagall is instead Head of TTL's Ravenclaw House, so I took the liberty to write one up. He's sort of, as I said in my guest post, "a strange combination of Rufus Scrimgeour and Filius Flitwick".
ITTL The Bloody Baron?
Yep.
Genderbent Oliver Wood?
It does seem like that (as well as merging with Angelina Johnson), but anything more will be spoiling it a bit more since Olivia Wood will have a bit of a significant change in direction in terms of what she does in the story in later Harry Fletcher books.
Who as in who is the actress or the character?
Who as in who is the actors or the characters?
Renamed Lee Jordan?
Yep.
ITTL Pansy Parkinson?
Yep.
ITTL Marcus Flint?
Yep.
ITTL Seamus Finnigan?

ITTL Jason Samuels?
Shane Finnigan is basically TTL's Seamus Finnigan, and as for Gary Samuels, he's TTL's Dean Thomas (although to find out that Jason Samuels is actually a character in the Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup video game was quite a surprise to me!).
ITTL Arthur Weasley or Bill Weasley? Also who's Francis J. O'Connell?
Who's Raleigh Corrie?
Well, since you probably didn't look closely in the footnotes, "Bill Hedgeley, or William “Bill” Richard Hedgeley, is a combination of Oliver Wood character in Philosopher’s Stone and Charlie Weasley (his role in working with dragons)".
And Francis J. O'Connell, along with Raleigh Corrie, is a fictional actor. I did list [8] alongside certain actors/actresses that were fictional.
Who for both?
fictional actor, and TTL's Dudley Dursley.
ITTL Lily Potter?
*bursts out laughing on the floor*

Anyways, Lavender Parkinson is another cousin to Harry.
Who?

Who?
Who as in who is the actor/actress (Alison Doody and Michael Kilgarriff) or the characters (Bridget Teller and Bower)?

Character for all the whose.
Well, Catrìona Peregrine is a Chaser on the Gryffynhart Quaddach Team, alongside Olivia Wood and Hannah Spinnet.

Tom and John Puckle are pretty much the closest the Harry Fletcher books will get to Fred and George Weasley.

Bridget Teller is a Daily Prophet reporter (but a separate character from TTL's Rita Skeeter) and Bower is a Centaur.

Do Catriona and Bridget have OTL counterparts?
