Henry VII Lives Longer

King Henry VII does not die in 1509, but instead lives for another 10 - 15 years. What are the consequences of this?

Does the future Henry VIII still marry Catherine of Aragon? In OTL this was seeming increasingly unlikely while Henry VII lived.

Who does Mary Tudor marry? She was betrothed to the future Charles V, if her father had lived longer would this marriage have gone ahead?

What role would the future Henry VIII have? He supposedly did not have a good relationship with his father, which could lead to problems as the younger Henry grows older and possibly wants more power.

I ve read somewhere that Henry VII wanted to marry Catherine himself after Arthur's death... It is plausible if he lived longer...

Henry VII

A second marriage may have been possible, but not with Catherine of Aragon. I think that Henry VII really wanted to be succeeded by Henry VIII after the death of Prince Authur. Having additional sons would actually sow the seeds of another war of the Roses type scenario.

Yeah the marriage of Catherine seems somewhat unlikely, though it might still happen due to pressure from Spain and the HRE.

Mary's marriage to Charles V might be a possibility. Charles V changed fiancee numerous times and was quite picky on the subject. But with Henry VII still alive for a while longer this could be a possibility.

Also it might be possible that Henry VIII is still made to marry Catherine of Aragon.

Adding all this together this is the usual scenario for England to stay Catholic and even ruled by a Hapsburg in the future.

I suppose one of the problems of Henry VII marrying again is that any children he has with a second wife won't be descended from the House of York. This could lead to disputes about the line of succession.

If the future Henry VIII still marries Catherine of Aragon then it's possible they would still have trouble having children. How would Henry VII react to his son's failure to produce an heir?

Another thought about this is whether Henry VII would have gone to war with France in the same way his son did? If he doesn't then Henry VII living longer could prevent the Battle of Flodden Field, meaning a longer reign for James IV of Scotland too.
