I am writing a story involving a SI in a surviving Henry Fitzroy. It is on a different site that I can't crosspost here because of 'reasons' surrounding the reason it IS an Si so I was curious.
What would have been the likely fate of Fitzroy if he hadn't died in 1536. Say he at least out lives both his father and brother Edward.
From what I understand, Henry adored Fitzroy considering all the honors and accolades he gave him before his death.
Say he was alive during the Pilgrimage of Grace and the small uprising afterwards, meaning he was alive for the Percy lands to be given to the king and the title revoked due to the rebelling Percy's. What do you think Henry would have done with those holdings especially with Henry being the nominal Lord President of the North?
Also Fitzroy married into the Howard family which were still Catholics at the time if I understand the limited sources I have checked, how big of an influence would that make on the young man?
How badly might Henry's feelings about Fitzroy change after Edward is born? Finally, assuming Fitzroy is Catholic when Henry dies, would a civil war between the brothers be likely? Or if Edward takes the throne and then dies as in OTL would Thomas Howard be supporting his living son-in-law over Mary?I
Any other observations of this what-of would be appreciated.
