If Henry Bolingbroke dies before or on return to England and thus never imprisons and succeeds Richard II what can we expect?
I'll assume Richard still dies childless.
I'll assume Richard still dies childless.
What would Henry's sons have done as they came of age?
Who would be Regent for Edmund assuming not still of age when Richard dies?
Hmm, I guess it would depend if Henry Bolingbroke is seen as going for the crown or just the Duchy of Lancaster as he first claimed. That probably depends on how settled England is when they come of age. If Edmund is Ricard IIv2 then Henry or Thomas would try for the throne especially if they got French support. They might still anyway either Charles VI or Charles V!! would want to get the English out of France and this would be one way of doing it fermenting a civil war.
Possible, would he be of mind to attempt the throne? It's not quite the same situation as Richard IIIEdward 2nd Duke of York springs to mind but he might try for the throne himself being a grandson of Edward III.
