As I was wasn't able yet to find an answer in the WWW I hope some of you guys can answer :

How were the workings of the Chamber of deputies of the french 3rd Republik ?
Especially :
How often did they assemble ?
Who could assemble/call them to assamble ?

Background of the question : July-crisis 1914
Without the german invasion in Belgium and DoW against France, would it have been possible for a french politician to call the chamber of depuies to assemble ?
Would they assamble in the 1st week of August anyway ?

(talking only of the chamber of deputies, NOT the National Assambly [chamber of deputies + senate])

Same questions about the senate.

Hmm, noone educated on the french 3rd Republik around ?

Maybe both, senate and chamber of deputies were on 'summer leave' at the time spwcified above ?

As i understood the german Reichstag was (not the Reichsrat, who sessioned on 1st August), as it had to be 'reopened' on 4th August 1914 with this famous ceremony at the City palace, when Wilhem II shaked hands with all of the party leaders.

Hey
Not a specialist but afair, the chamber doesn't assemble or you don't call it. It should always be sitted except maybe during summer holidays.
