The purple-red-white tricolour is a must, imo. Much more striking than the purple-red-yellow version.

Of those, 14 and 16 are my favourites.

If you're going with the a non-tricolour one, I'd say 5 and 17 are quite nice.

Yes, I'd also like to cast an anti-vote for 3. Looks a bit wonky. Especially the space directly surrounding the star.

They have a really cool flag design.

Although my favorite current national flag is still the mostly-symmetrical Union Jack.

Also, I'd prefer 17 without the gold border.

I think it's pretty ugly, myself.

But seeing as you already chose the ugliest color combination possible, why not the ugliest flag (which seems to be 6, by popular consensus, the lower-scoring ones being too plain to be ugly)?

Hey, purple and gold are not ugly - and keep in mind that Krall added red and white.
