Hellenistic Egypt Survives to modern times.

How can we get a Greco-Egyptian kingdom that lasts until modern times, or at least resently.

I can't see this. The religious strife between Copts and Greeks would prevent it and there are other reasons.

You would need the Greeks to be a much bigger percentage of the population in Egypt.

Does it falling and been revived again count?

T think you'd have to keep Byzantium as top dog. As long as Greek is the upper-class language, you can keep Egypt Graeco-Coptic. Independent kingdom is relatively easy then.

You would need to find a way to 1) Keep Islam at bay & 2) keep the Crusaders at bay.

Stopping Islam is clearly the key (No Islam = No Crusades), but given the almost otherworldly success of the Islamic expansion across the Med basin it is hard to see the way to achive even a significant slowing of that tide.

A No Islam TL will definitely improve the plausibility of this by many magnitudes . Ofcourse , No Islam Tls are politically sensitive grounds currently , but if No Chirstanity Threads can run around without being locked , I don't see why not a No Islam Thread.

Then again, Greco-Egyptian kingdom was ended officially before Christ, by Roman conquest! I would say it will be the best scenario to have the Ptolemaic kingdom survives in some form....

Well, if the Byzantine Empire had more easily won it's wars against Sassanid Persia, and not exhausted itself in the process, then it could certainly have held off the Muslims invaders. Remember, their population during the initial invasion period wasn't very large. One big decisive defeat could really ruin them.
